Homemade Caramels

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups whipping cream
3/4 cup light corn syrup

Directions:
Grease 8x8 pan with butter, or line with parchment paper.  Heat all ingredients to boil over medium heat- stirring constantly. (no really.  Pull up a chair, and stir.  It's going to take about 30-35 minutes of stirring). Cook until mixture reaches 245 degrees.  Immediately spread into a dish, don't scrape out the sides! Cool completely, about 2 hours! (quicker if you put the pan in the refrigerator).  Cut out squares and wrap them in wax paper.
